Today we had our first production meeting, first with out teacher Adam and then afterwards as a 4. We discussed how we would need to choose ideas as a group to pitch on Monday. Individually, we each pitched the rest of our 2-4 ideas and we decided on 3 that we wanted to pitch to the technical advisor working with us to see how realistic they would be for the shoot time we are allocated. The ideas we decided on were: Daisy's a girl falling in love with another girl in her host family but they are shunned for being homosexual in the 70s and run away together, Freddie's one shot opening title sequence in a school where the protagonist interacts with people throughout the corridor - the whole film being about the lives of a group of boys in school and lastly Carl's idea of an underdog football team that try and get to the top of the league table. We decided we should have a couple of ideas to pitch in case some of them didn't work but also giving us options so that we could go away and think about the ideas instead of making an immediate decision. I did not push for any of my ideas as I preferred the other ideas and know that has a creative I prefer filling a brief or idea rather than creating my own.
