During this team meeting, we pitched our ideas to Luke (our technical advisor). He gave us the following feedback which we now have to think through and decide on our favorite idea as a group considering all of the positives and negatives:
Carl's Idea (The Underdog Football Team):
- Need to get the idea that it is an up-and-coming team, that won't come across from a montage of kicking
a ball
Daisy's Idea (Forbidden Lovers)
- Wes Anderson style is very difficult to replicate
- Must be very detailed and embed all 23 titles cleverly (easy to do for 8 but 23 may be a struggle)
- More time is spent carefully setting up and lighting everything carefully (would we want to spend our time on the shoot day doing that rather than shooting?/ is there enough for us all to be content with our involvement?)
Fred's Idea (Super Bad Inspired - School Losers):
- Difficult to film because of 1 shot
- Hard to choreograph all of the extras
- Repetitive + possibility of shaky camera work
- Is it going to be interesting for us to shoot as a group?
Ultimately, I feel as though Carl's idea would involve all members of the group well and be an interesting shoot day and would allow us to work on location rather than in a studio or in our school campus - giving us all a new experience when it comes to this area of work.
