Using the skills we learnt in the previous workshop, we filmed a sequence of simple movement using the 'master scene' method as we only had one camera. For this we had to use a wide shot, mid-shot and close-up to give us variation when editing and we can use the best shot with the most visual interest. This also prevents continuity issues.
When filming we had to use 4 commands (when being the director), these were:
Standby - making sure everyone is ready in position
Roll Camera - the camera crew then call "rolling" once recording to ensure all of the action was captured
Action - cues the actors to start acting
Cut - to stop the camera rolling and let the actors relax
These are extremely common phrases within production as communication is key on set.
