Idea 2
(same day/ every day)
Film synopsis:
Following a global pandemic, the world's population is persuaded to take the same pills every day, little do they know these pills wipes the short-term memory and causes a repeat of the same day, every day. A group of 3 teenagers across the country receive a batch of pills that haven't been properly checked, as a result, all of them keep their memories the following day and figure out everyone is living the same day every day. This batch gets traced back to them and changed - but it's too late. Each of them chooses to deal with this separately. One tries to convince people what is going on but ends up being sent away due to their 'mental instability', the second commits a different crime everyday as they know that they will end up having a clean slate the next day and the third falls in love with someone new everyday.
Opening Titles:
In total darkness, the sound of a phone alarm is heard and the light from the phone is seen. As the alarm is switched off it is back to darkness until the protagonist stumbles to the curtains, making a noticeable amount of noise as they accidentally kick the mess on their floor. They then lay back down on their bed and scroll through social media until they get a government reminder on their phone to take a pill. There is a close-up on the bottle of pills as the protagonist picks up the bottle, unscrews the lid and swallows the pill (this would be a series of close-ups quickly edited together). Then they would play the radio from their phone, there they would announce the date and begin playing music, this music being the soundtrack that is then played diegetically through the phone.
